The Quatuor Arod releases a new album with Erato / Warner Classics, devoted to the pillars of French music : Ravel, Debussy and Attahir (Al Asr, co-commissioned in 2018 with ProQuartet and La Belle Saison). They are on European tour during the month of October: Schiermonnikoog Festival (the 1^st and the 2^nd), at the TivoliVrendenburg Utrecht (the 4^th), in Viterbo, Italy (the 6^th), in Fürstenfeldbruck (the 7^th), in Villingen-Schwenningen (the 8^th), in Gunzenhausen (the 15^th), in Turin (the 18^th), and on October 30^th for a special event concert at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord.

The pianist Tanguy de Williencourt is on tour with the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen with Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto n°1 under the baton of Martjin Dendievel. They will be at the Bruges Concertgebouw (October 5^th), at the CC Zwaneberg in Schouburg (the 6^th), at De Singel Antwerpen (the 8^th), and at De Biljoke in Gent (the 14^th).

Damien Bigourdan at the Festival Enescu

Damien Bigourdan makes his debuts at the Festival Enescu in Olivier Messiaen’s Saint François d’Assise. Lea Desandre on a Japanese tour with Thomas Dunford

Lea Desandre and Thomas Dunford are on a Japanese tour to give their Italian (Monteverdi, Frescobaldi, Kapdberger, Merula) and French « Laissez durer la nuit » programmes. They are performing on September 18th at the Taisetsushi Crystal Hall in Asahikawa, in Tokyo at the Oji Hall on the 20th and on the 21st at the Toyosu Civic Hall and then on the 23rd at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

Shani Diluka returns to the Théâtre du Châtelet for « Flouz », second part of the tryptic « Paradox Palace », after « Watch », under the direction of Jérôme Comte and Olivier Fredj, sharing the stage with musicians of the Ensemble Intercontemporain, among others, on September 8th, 9th and 10th. During July, Bruno Philippe and Tanguy de Williencourt are touring the festivals of France. The Arod Quartet’s summer tour

The 4 musicians are back together for a summer tour, kicking off the month of July at the Estivales de musique in the Médoc on July 7th, then moving on to the Dresden Frauenkirche in Germany on July 8th, finishing with the Saou chante Mozart festival on July 9th. We then have to wait until the end of the month to see them again in Gstaad on July 19th, then at the Marvao International Music Festival on the 26th and 27th July.

Thibaut Garcia, the grand tour of summer festivals

This July, Thibaut Garcia is touring the festivals of France and Germany with the guitarist Antoine Morinière and the accordionist Félicien Brut. The guitarist friends are playing Bach's Goldberg Variations on July 5th, 11th, 13th, 19th and 24th in France and at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Iserlohn guitar festival. Accompanied by Félicien Brut, he plays Vol de Nuit on July 3th and 15th. He also performs solo on the 17th and 21th July.

In April, Thomas Enhco gives a second life to Keith Jarrett’s iconic “Köln Concert” alongside Maki Namekawa at the Philharmonie de Paris on April 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th. He then flies to Japan where he performs Mozart’s Concerto N°21 along with the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa conducted by Jean-Claude Casadesus. The Piazzolla Quintet is the guest of the Radio France Montpellier Festival on July 21. Félicien Brut, Thibaut Garcia, Thomas Enhco, Edouard Macarez and Jordan Victoria pay tribute to the famous Argentinean composer whose centenary year is 2021. Their program also features a creation by Thomas Enhco. On July 27, the quintet plays in Béziers, before continuing the festivities in August.

For the whole of the second half of June, Damien Bigourdan will be performing Vlan dans l'oeil, an opera-bouffe in three acts by Hervé, in the role of Alexandrivore. Directed by Pierre André Weitz, of course accompanied by Olivier Py, this production by the Palazzetto Bru Zane, which focuses on French romantic music, is an opportunity to rediscover a repertoire that has been somewhat neglected in recent years.

Michel Fau electrifies the Capitole of Toulouse

From June 25 to July 4, Michel Fau directs Elektra, Richard Strauss' one-act opera. Adapted from Hugo von Hofmannsthal's tragedy, it tells the story of Electra who, with her brother Orestes, decides to avenge her father Agamemnon, murdered by their mother and her lover. Alongside Michel Fau, Frank Beermann as musical director, and the soprano Ricarda Merbeth as Elektra, in costumes designed by Christian Lacroix.

The Arod Quartet sets the Frankurt Opera on fire

With a reputation that precedes it, winner of the second prize at the ARD competition in Munich and of the public's choice award, the Arod Quartet returns to German soil at full gallop. Already invited twice, the quartet takes over the Mozart Hall of the Old Opera House in Frankfurt for a concert around three composers, Haydn, Bartok and Mendelssohn: three centuries, three masterpieces.

Ré Majeure, the festival of Marc Minkowski, is taking place at the end of October 2020 for a new edition. Marc Mauillon is at the Capitole de Toulouse for concerts paying tribute to Gabriel Fauré. The Quatuor Arod in the USA and Canada

After touring in Italy, Norway and Israel in February, the Quatuor Arod is flying to America in March 2020. Marc Mauillon, Orfeo in Copenhagen

Marc Mauillon finds one of his favorite roles with Monteverdi's Orfeo which he will sing for his debut at the Copenhagen Opera. He will also find there his accomplice the stage director Jetzke Mijnssen, with whom Marc had recently collaborated for the Orfeo of ... Rossi. Considered one of the first operas in the history of music, Monteverdi's Orfeo will be conducted here by Lars Ulrik Mortensen with the Concerto Copenhagen.

Vespers by Raphaël Pichon – from Paris to New York

In Bordeaux, then at the Philharmonie de Paris and at the Royal Chapel of Versailles, Raphael Pichon and his Pygmalion group make us rediscover the world of Michael Praetorius. Psalms, motets and magnificat: the chef drew on the materials to imagine a vespers office. Bruno Philippe issues a third opus with Harmonia Mundi, this time devoted to Prokofiev, with the Sinfonia Concertante (with Frankfurt Radio Orchestra under the baton og Christoph Eschenbach), and the Cello sonata with his stage partner Tanguy de Williencourt. The Quatuor Arod releases its new CD: “The Mathilde album”

On October 4^th is released The Mathilde Album, which is the new CD of the Quatuor Arod, dedicated to Mathilde Zemlinsky, muse of her brother Alexander Zemlinsky, of her husband Arnold Schönberg and of the student of the latter, Anton Webern. For this second opus at Warner/Erato, the quartet makes a bold choice, alongside soprano Elsa Dreisig. You can hear them in this program on October 11^th at the Philharmonie de Paris!

Jupiter on tour

The Ensemble Jupiter, conducted by Thomas Dunford, is at the Festival de Sablé on August 23^rd, for a concerto program: lute and mandolin concerto by Vivaldi as well as Aranjuez concerto by Rodrigo arranged for guitar and string quintet. On the 24^th, the ensemble is also at the Festival de Rocamadour with mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre and their Vivaldi program.

Amandine is on Summer tour with her ensemble Gli Incogniti. Thomas Enhco on European tour

After the issue of his new CD with Sony, Thomas Enhco is performing in chamber music and in solo in Europe in March. On the 13^th, he is invited by cellist Henri Demarquette to perform at the Seine Musicale, notably along with Raquel Camarinha, Dan Zhu and Jean-Frédéric Neuburger. On the 21^st, he is in concerto with the Orchestre à vent de la musique de l’air, under the baton of Claude Kesmaecker. On the 22^nd, he is playing solo in Italy, at the Fazioli Hall in Sacile. On the 30th, he is performing in Heidelberg along with Quatuor Arod as well as the marimba-player Vassilena Serafimova.

After the issue of his critically praised new album across Russian music, Bruno Philippe performs in France and in Belgium. Timothy Ridout returns to France

The violist Timothy Ridout is back in France in March, along with flutist Adam Walker and harpist Anneleen Lenaerts, in a program consisting of works by Debussy, Ravel, Takemitsu, Saariaho and Arnold. You can see them perform on March 21^st at the Auditorium du Louvre, and on March 31^st at the Auditorium du Musée de Grenoble.

Thibaut Garcia: The « Young soloist of the year » on tour

After winning the award of the “Young soloist of the year” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in February, Thibaut Garcia resumes his European tour in March, in concerto as well as in recital. On March 20^th, he gives the Guitar concerto op.140 by Ferdinando Carulli in Moscow, accompanied by the "Evgeny Svetlanov" State Symphony orchestra. On the 23^rd, he is in recital in Moscow. He is then performing the Aranjuez Concerto accompanied by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Kensho Watanabe, on March 28^th and 29^th, and back in recital on the 30^th at the Seine Musicale.

Lea Desandre on European tour

In March, Lea Desandre works again with the conductor Raphaël Pichon and his Ensemble Pygmalion for a new European tour, but this time presenting the Mass in B by J-S Bach. Notably alongside Joanne Lunn and Emiliano Gonzalez Toro, they are performing in the great Alte Oper in Frankfurt on the 6^th, Cologne Philharmonie on the 7^th, Essen Philharmonie on th 9^th, and Chapelle Royale de Versailles on the 13^th and 14^th.

Pierre Dumoussaud conducts the Greek National Opera

In March, Pierre Dumoussaud conducts Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti again, only this time at the Greek National Opera. Along with stage director Theodoros Terzopoulos, he conducts notably Mary Ellen Nesi (Iphigenia) and Dimitri Tiliakos (Oreste) as well as the National Opera. After the premier on February 14^th, you can see him on March 3^rd, 10^th, 20^th, 22^nd and 24^th in Athens!

After their China debuts in February, the Quatuor Arod is performing all over Europe in March. They are performing on March 10th at the Festpielhaus in Baden-Baden, on the 11th at Vienna Musikverein, on the 13th at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, on the 15th at the Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie in Leeuwarden, on the 19th at Rouen University, on the 21st at the Auditori in Barcelona, on the 27th at the Heidelberg Festival, notably with Thomas Enhco, and on the 30th at the Dortmund Konzerthaus with the harpist Anaïs Gaudemard.

Raphaël Pichon conducts Lea Desandre in Monteverdi

After series of concerts at Amsterdam Muziekgebouw and at the Opéra de Bordeaux, Raphaël Pichon re-performs Monterverdi’s Vespers and Stravaganza d’Amore by Monteverdi at the Chapelle Royale de Versailles. He is conducting his Ensemble Pygmalion as well as the young soprano Lea Desandre (among others). You can see them perform the Vespers on February 9th and 10th and the Stravaganza d’Amore on the 11th.

Shani Diluka records her new project Cosmos

In February, Shani Diluka imports in Europe her project Cosmos, about Beethoven and India. Accompanied by tablah player Prabhu Edouard as well as by sitarist Sahana Banerjee, they are recording this exceptional project in Schloss Elmau where they are giving the German premiere on February 9th. They are reperforming this program on February 14th at the Tschaikowsky-Saal of Hamburg.

February is Thomas Enhco’s month: is new CD, Thirty, is issued with Sony. Timothy Ridout in France and in London

After a European tour, including a very remarked concert in Gstaad in January, the violist Timothy Ridout is the guest of Clément Rochefort for the French radio program “Génération Jeunes Interpretes” on February 16th. He is performing with the pianist Frank Dupree. Timothy is also performing with the Quatuor Arod in London, on February 24th as well as on the 25th at the Wigmore Hall.

The violinist Amandine Beyer has join L’Agence. As a solist or with her different ensembles (Gli Incogniti, Kitgut Quartet...), she performs in the entire world (USA, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Japan...). In 2018, she creates a new project dedicated to Bach’s music, with the choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker.
